Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan
HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Educational Council (ADEC) today attended a graduation ceremony at the Emirates Palace Hotel
organised by the Scholarships Office affiliated to the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, on the occasion of honouring 100 male and female graduates of the Distinguished Student Scholarship (DSS) of the U.A.E. President's Scholarship, who have received high academic appreciation from prestigious long-standing universities all over the world.
Sheikh Mansour distributed honouring certificates to graduates, appearing in photographic opportunities with them and meeting with a number of parents of graduates, exchanging talks with them on the students and their studies and their employment opportunities after graduation.
Sheikh Mansour said that the Distinguished Student Scholarship aims to prepare and qualify a leading generation of sons and daughters of the U.A.E. capable of meeting the challenges of the future, as well as to provide the country with cadres of eligible citizens, according to the highest academic standards, to continue the march of development and construction witnessed by the U.A.E., He stressed that the U.A.E.'s wise leadership encourages students of both sexes to continue their education and study disciplines that are compatible with their interests and that the development march needs in all fields.
Sheikh Mansour commended the efforts exerted by students in order to get scientific degrees from the most prestigious universities and their joining the market of the workforce both in the public and private sectors.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ahmed Mohammed Al Humairi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director-General of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), a number of senior officials and parents of graduates.
