The Ministry of Education and Kalimat Publishing Group have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for implementing the programmes of Horouf Educational Publishing, with the aim of developing teaching resources in the
Arabic language.
The agreement which was signed by Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan al-Qasimi, Founder and CEO of Kalimat Publishing Group, and Humaid Mohammad al-Qattami, Minister of Education, includes implementing the Arabic language programme in both electronic and print versions in kindergartens and government schools across the country. The initiative, which is the first of its kind in the Arab world, offers a specially designed educational package that includes new programmes to teach the Arabic language using modern technologies.
The Ministry of Education will implement the first phase of the initiative in kindergartens during the 2013/2014 school year, where pupils will receive the print and e-versions of Horouf products.
