Applied Science University (ASU)
Deputy Premier His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa inaugurated the new campus of the Applied Science University (ASU).
The ceremony was attended by Shura Council's Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh and
several ministers and officials.
His Highness congratulated the ASU officials commending their efforts in developing the University and the provision of encouraging educational clime suitable for studying, research and creativity. His Highness emphasized the Government support and encouragement of educational institutions infrastructure projects.
His Highness unveiled the curtain off the Memorial Plateau announcing the opening of the University's new campus. His Highness toured the university campus, including library, laboratories, auditoriums and recreation facilities.
ASU Board of Directors Chairman Sameer Abdullah Nass delivered a speech in which he welcomed His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa the Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Education and Training Development Committee. He stressed that with the new campus, the university has completed all is modern academic requirements, educational and administrative staff and students. The university always seeks to create excellent human resources commensurate with the spirit and requirements of the labour market, Nass added.
Also, the University President Dr. Waheeb Ahmed Al-Khaja delivered a speech in which he welcomed His Highness, pointing out that the university plan aims to introduce highly competitive output into the labour market. He cited latest developments in the campus including academic, administration and training facilities.
