Dubai Healthcare City has announced the setting up of the Mohammad Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences and the launch of the Mohammad Bin Rashid University Hospital, which will be opened later.
The move follows the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Dubai Healthcare City authority stated that the university will provide students, whether citizens or residents, with a host of academic medical and postgraduate programmes, adding that the university will receive the first batch of students in September 2015 in accordance to the specified criteria to select qualified students to study medicine.
