The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, ADFD, has sponsored two female students studying at the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Science at U.A.E. University, to go for practical training at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, CERN, in Geneva, Switzerland, under the framework of the strategic partnership between the two sides.
The decision came during a meeting attended by Deputy Director of U.A.E. University, Dr. Mohammed Al Bili, Salem Saeedan Al Rashidi, Director of Support Services at ADFD, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Kaabi, Assistant Dean for Professional Development in the College of Sciences and Head of the Physics Department at the University, to discuss opportunities for training students to develop their skills and expertise in relevant international centres such as CERN, where the two students will be studying.
