Professor Hani Dmour addresses delegates at the conference
The University of Jordan (UJ) is hosting the first Francophone conference, entitled: "Comprehending the work of French writer Albert Camus" with the participation of a group of specialists
in French literature from various countries, such as France, Canada, Britain and Switzerland.The conference, which lasts for two days, has been organised by the University in collaboration with the French embassy in Amman and the Francophone University Agency. The event comes in conjunction with the celebrations of the Faculty of Foreign Languages on the International Day of the Francophonie.
UJ Vice-President for Humanities, Professor Hani Dmour told attendees during his opening ceremony speech: "The university’s promotion of these academic international conferences is in line with the Amman message delivered by His Majesty King Abdullah II to promote dialogue between different civilisations and cultures."
