Ready to Glow's brand ambassador Kimberley Walsh
New research reveals Saturday is the day of the week when women feel most naturally beautiful. It’s also rated as women’s top beauty Do-It-Yourself day in the UK.
It’s not just building furniture that takes place over the weekend, women are busy performing DIY beauty body basics.
Carrying out everyday DIY beauty essentials help women feel confident, happy, positive and in-control. However, 45 percent of women do not have a daily beauty regime in place to help them feel their best and half of women feel unprepared and anxious if they haven’t conducted their essential beauty preparations.
Whilst Saturday is rated as the top beauty DIY day, the new Ready to Glow campaign is encouraging women to carry out beauty preparations on a daily basis to give a boost to their confidence every day of the week.
Ready to Glow, fronted by natural beauty Kimberley Walsh, is telling women that they don’t need invasive treatments or an entourage of make-up artists to look and feel great. The campaign is the first of its kind, encouraging women to feel beautiful by doing the beauty basics every day. Ready to Glow reveals that over two thirds of women say their everyday beauty preparations, like moisturising and de-fuzzing, give them more confidence than the finishing touches such as lipstick and nail varnish. In fact, women say these preparations make them ‘glow’!
Two thirds of women feel that their overall confidence is affected by how they feel about themselves rather than what other people think. With confidence being more than just skin deep, inspirational and motivating life coach, Carole-Ann Rice comments: "It's one of those immutable laws of nature that when women look good they feel good and when they feel good, they look even better. It's all about natural beauty, not about looking young and thin but a great, deep down feeling that your body, skin and wellbeing are all at their very best. Our self-esteem and confidence is boosted when we feel we look great and we radiate our best, confident selves. It makes perfect sense that women feel more beautiful on a Saturday as they dedicate more time to themselves to perform some of the more time consuming beauty essentials."
The Ready to Glow campaign is supported by five top beauty brands - Scholl, Clearasil, Veet, Optrex and E45 all of which enable women to glow from top to toe at home with no fuss.
Marketing Director, Jérôme Lemaire comments: "The Ready to Glow research discovered that 9 out of 10 women believe their confidence is improved if they are well groomed from top to toe.1 Fronted by Kimberley Walsh, Ready to Glow is providing women across the UK with the ultimate everyday beauty guide, so women can feel naturally beautiful every day of the week and achieve a radiant glow. The Ready to Glow campaign is asking women to nominate their friends or family who deserve to glow and beauty kit of Ready to Glow products."
