Two ICC warrants have been issued for Bashir's arrest
Khartoum - Abedalgoum Ashmeag

Two ICC warrants have been issued for Bashir's arrest The Republic of Chad denied being under pressure due to the participation of Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir at the Greenbelt Conference. Bashir is wanted by the International Criminal Court accused of committing war crimes in Darfur. Despite this Chad stressed that it is committed to all the declared decisions of the African Union.
The Sudanese Environment Minister, Hassan Abdel Akadir Hilal, declared that his country is prepared to participate actively in the summit, despite numerous human rights groups calling for the arrest of Bashir.
Speaking to Arabstoday Hilal acknowledged the severity of the regions environmental problems, and stated his intention to begin working on reducing the dangers of environmental degradation.
Meanwhile Human Rights Watch have called for Chad to arrest Bashir or bar him entry to the country. The conference was originally supposed to be held, March 18, but was postponed due to international outcry about the attendance of Bashir.
