Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa met today with Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain, in the presence of SCYS First Deputy Chairman and President of Bahrain Athletics Association Shaikh bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Nasser welcomed the Chechen President and his accompanying delegation, stressing Bahrain's keenness to boost cooperation with Chechen in various fields. He also discussed ways of boosting relations between the two friendly countries and increasing cooperation opportunities in various areas.
Shaikh Nasser briefed the Chechen President on the horses participating in the endurance races and the strategy followed by Bahrain to protect them. He also informed him about a number of Arabian horses.
The Chechen President watched part of the training of the Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts Team. Shaikh Khalid briefed him on the team, their participation in external competitions and their achievements. The Chechen President met members of the team who hold the Chechen nationality. He underlined his country's keenness to enhance cooperation with Bahrain, lauding the kingdom's comprehensive growth at all levels.
Shaikh Nasser held a dinner banquet last night in honour of the Chechen President and his accompanying delegation.
