Former Turkish Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, called on officials at the his country's embassy in Amman to provide Salt municipality with all necessary technical support.
He made his remarks during a visit he paid late Sunday to Salt Governorate, some 30km northwest of Amman, accompanied by his wife, Turkish Ambassador to the Kingdom, Murat Karagoz and other embassy staff.
Salt Governor Khaled Al Khashman briefed the former Turkish premier and his accompanied delegation on the most important projects implemented by the municipality as well as future plans to revive the heritage and historical stages of development of the city.
Davutoglu thanked Salt's residents for their kind hospitality, adding that the city enjoys special status in Turkey as it contains the remains of 300 Turkish soldiers .
