Environment Minister Khaled Fahmi on Saturday met with Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Amina Mohammed.
The meeting reviewed development issues and efforts made by the United Nations to achieve sustainable development.
It also touched on the outcome of a recent climate change conference in Bonn and its links with the presidential conference convened by the French president in mid-December as well as the need for holding another conference before the 24th conference scheduled for November 2018 in Poland.
They discussed also the agenda of the general assembly for environment, which starts on Sunday and gathers more than 196 countries
