Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) today received former Spanish King Juan Carlos at the Bahrain National Museum. She welcomed the Spanish monarch, commending deep-rooted cultural relations binding the two friendly peoples and countries.
She underlined Bahrain's keenness on building bridges with all civilisations in the world as part of the national strategy to promote the Kingdom as an attractive destination. He tendered an invitation to visit Bahrain anew, specially the City of Muharraq, which will be celebrated as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018.
King Carlos expressed his admiration at the artifacts and archaeological relics, being showcased at the museum, reflecting Bahrain's rich history and millennia-old civilisation. King Carlos toured the museum, in the company of BACA president and other personnel, who briefed the Spanish monarch on the Pearl path, which was launched last week. He also visited the Dilmun Hall at the museum which showcases artifacts dating back to more than 4000 years, including Dilmun seals and earthenware.
