Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif wrapped up his visit to Ecuador and departed Quito for Chile capital Santiago, Iranian News Agency (IRNA) reported.

    Zarif's visit to Chile is a historic visit and the first visit by an Iranian foreign minister to the country after Iran's 1979 revolution. Before departing for Chile, the Iranian foreign minister expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Ecuador. 

    Iran and Ecuador signed three banking and agricultural cooperation documents during the trip, Zarif added. Zarif, heading a 120-member delegation is on a six-nation tour of Latin America in a bid to broaden economic cooperation between Iran and the states in the region.
