Three Government ministers visited Um Al-Hasam and Al-Qurayyah, following directives from His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa. Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf stressed plans to carry out key infrastructure projects that support economic development.
He underscored the importance of the Al-Fateh Highway development scheme in the section linking Mina Salman and the Diplomat Hotel traffic junction. He highlighted cooperation with the fisheries directorate to conduct a feasibility study on the planned Um Al-Hasam jetty, stressing continuous road development schemes to reduce traffic jams in the area.
Housing Minister Basem Yacoub Al-Hamer unveiled plans to build a big residential complex at bloc 333. The project which will cost BD110 million will consist of 2000 flats, 2100 parking lots and a shopping mall, in addition to public gardens and other service facilities. Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder also took part in the visit to Um Al-Hasam and Al-Qurayyah to assess citizens’ needs and follow-up projects.
