Visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Tuesday at his residence in Paris Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of French Naval Group Herve Guillou.
Guillou expressed Naval Group's keenness to foster its cooperation with Egypt, describing Cairo as one of the company's key partners across the world.
Later in the day, Sisi received Chairman of France’s national state-owned railway company Guillaume Pepy.
The meeting took up efforts exerted by Egypt for developing the railways system and plans outlined by the Egyptian Ministry of Transport for enhancing the signals and operation systems.
President Sisi and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron had talks at the Elysee Palace. Macron appreciated what he termed an important strategic partnership between Egypt and France.
Macron also hailed the level of cooperation recently maintained by both countries and highlighted the necessity of enhancing them in the various domains.
For his part, President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s eagerness to enhance bilateral cooperation in order to serve the best interests of the peoples of both countries.
The latest developments in Middle East, including Libya and Syria, were high on the agenda of talks.
