Also on Wednesday, Sisi received a phone call from Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades.
President Sisi stressed that Egypt is keen to foster relations with Cyprus in different fields and to benefit from the two countries’ available capabilities.
Also, Sisi asserted the importance of pushing forward economic and investment relations between the two countries.
During the phone conversation, Sisi expressed his appreciation for Cyprus’ supportive stances of Egypt’s efforts to establish the pillars of security and stability in the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
The Egyptian leader also asserted Cairo’s firm stance to reunify Cypriot people, in line with the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and international legitimacy.
Meanwhile, Anastasiades underlined that Cyprus looks forward to opening up new horizons of cooperation with Egypt, which in turn could help achieve the interests of the two peoples.
