President Sisi on Sunday telephoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for consultations on the latest developments in the wake of US President Donald Trump's decision to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Al Quds.
The two leaders probed the repercussions of Trump's decision and means of reaching a just solution that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their own state with Al Quds as its capital.
The two sides also agreed on the importance of intensifying talks with all the international parties concerned to clarify the negative impact of such decision in view of the relevant international resolutions and charters pertaining to the Palestinian issue and the status of Al Quds city.
Later in the day, Sisi telephoned Jordanian King Abdullah II. The phone call took up the latest developments in the Middle East region, especially the Palestinian cause following the decision made by the US administration.
The two leaders discussed also means of supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, topped by establishing an independent Palestinian state with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital
