Spinning and weaving employees across the nation voiced support for President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's nomination for a new term.
They called for upgrading the textile industry to restore its old status as a leading national project.
This came during a conference organized by the General Syndicate For Spinning and Weaving under the title 'Let's build and develop... Spinning and weaving employees fight terrorism'.
The conference was attended by Manpower Minister Mohammed Safaan along with leaderships of the textile industry in the country.
Minister Safaan hailed the role of spinning and weaving employees in building the nation and reviving the economy.
He added that textiles accounts for 30 percent of Egypt's industry, calling for applying plans to boost the industry.
