Sudanese President Omar al Bashir headed Monday to Morocco to participate in the Marrakech Climate Change Conference.
He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour and the minister of cabinet affairs.
In press statements before leaving Khartoum, Ghandour said that al Bashir will deliver a speech during the conference, hold a bilateral summit with Moroccan King Mohammed VI, meet with number of leaders participating in the event and take part in the African Summit called for by Morocco on the sidelines of the meetings.
He further reiterated that Sudan will submit during the conference a vision based on the importance of international cooperation to overcome climate change, pointing out that Sudan affirmed the need to provide financial and moral support as well as developing the African skills to achieve this goal.
Sudan's speech will focus also on vital issues such as food security, water and agriculture, the minister noted.
