Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Banna has presented his credentials to the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, as the UAE's non-resident ambassador to the state.
Dr. Al Banna conveyed the greetings of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to King Jigme.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed bilateral relations, including trade and investment, energy, environment, culture, education and communication. They also exchanged views on issues related with regional and international cooperation.
King Jigme noted the experience of the UAE in many fields from which his country can benefit, stressing the desire of Bhutan to strengthen mutual cooperation in sectors where countries have made significant individual progress.
