The UK Embassy in Cairo on Tuesday launched a series of training workshops jointly funded by the United Kingdom and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to strengthen the capacity of Egypt's newly appointed judges and prosecutors to combat smuggling of migrants in the country.
The embassy said the workshops are organized as part of Preventing and Responding to Illegal Migration in Egypt (PRIME) project that costs EGP 33 million and mainly supports the Egyptian government's vision on combating illegal immigration.
The workshops will take place in Cairo, Alexandria, and Upper Egypt governorates
