Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowdar, has paid an inspection visit to the Hoora and Gudaibiya region villages, where he met the villagers and was informed about their youth and sports needs.
The visit follows directives from His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to follow up on the needs of the various governorates in the kingdom and ensure all regions enjoy sufficient facilities and government services.
MP Adel Al-Asoomi, a number of the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry’s assistant undersecretaries, the members of the Board of Directors of the Al-Najma Sports Club, Hoora and Gudaibiya Youth Centre’s officials and citizens were present during the minister’s visit.
The minister highlighted the constant directives of the leadership and the government to meet the citizens’ needs and provide them with the requirements of decent living, noting that HRH Premier’s instructions on the Hoora and Gudaibiya region reflect the extent of his unwavering keenness on ensuring that all regions and villages across the nation enjoy easy access to the youth and sport movement services.
HRH the Prime Minister’s interest in following up on the demands of the citizens, and in reaching out to their needs are essential in his approach, he said.
Al-Jowdar asserted that HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is constantly following up o n the efforts undertaken to develop the youth and sports sector nationwide.
He pointed out that the Hoora and Gudaibiya are among the key regions where the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry is keen to implement a number of infrastructure project that would attract youth and embrace them in a realistic way, in line with its strategy aimed at building generations of youth who are capable of pushing the kingdom’s development march forward.
He commended the tremendous efforts exerted by MP Adel Al-Asoomi to develop the youth and sports movement in the kingdom, in general, and in Hoora and Gudaibiya, in particular.
The minister was informed about the needs and requirements of the Hoora and Gudaibiya and the Al-Najma Sports Club, as well as those of the Hoora and Gudaibiya Youth Centre, and gave directives to the competent departments in the Youth and Sports Ministry to follow up on them.
MP Adel Al-Asoomi lauded the interest of the leadership and the government in taking care of the citizens and following up on their needs regarding development and infrastructure projects, noting that the Prime Minister’s directives to the relevant ministers to visit various regions had a positive impact on the citizens.
Al-Asoomi lauded the visions of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of the Bahrain Athletics Association, to boost the Youth and Sports movement in the kingdom.
He also paid tribute to the Youth and Sports Affairs Minister for his clear cooperation with Legislative Branch regarding laws that have contributed to enhancing the youth and sports movement in the kingdom, noting that the minister has translated the leadership’s vision towards youth and sports into the ground.
He also praised the minister’s visit to the region, and keenness on listening to the citizens’ remarks on their needs, and desire to meet them according to the available resources.
Hoora and Gudaibiya citizens commended the minister’s visit, and praised his keenness on activating the role of their youth centre.
