Up to 1,000 people infected with swine flu died in India over the two months, according to the daily press on Sunday, citing the Indian Ministry of Health.
Those who have been infected with the deadly virus have reached 19,000. Most affected states were Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
In 2014, number of swine cases reached only 937, and the deaths, 218.
Experts have warned that current wide-widescale heavy rain may contribute to the disease spread.
