Minister of Health, Sadiq bin Abdulkarim Al-Shihabi, presided over the meeting of the Supreme Health Council (SHC) to discuss the 2015 -2018 health strategy.
The Minister stressed teh need to intensify efforts to raise the level of health services provided for citizens and residents in the next four years in line with the wise leadership's goals.
Health's Acting Director of Planning, Head of Policies and Health Systems Researches, Hessa Al-Darazi, reviewed the four-year health strategy which includes six strategic goals and 20 strategic initiatives aimed at improving the health services provided by the Health Ministry.
The meeting was attended by Health's Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Technical Affairs, Mahir Al-Aunais, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Affairs, Dr. Waleed Al-Mani', Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Training, Dr. Mohammad Amin Al-Awadhi, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources and Services, Fatima Abdulwahid and Legal Advisor, Ousama Al-Amir.
