Bahrain will host a key international medical conference which highlights the dangers of spreading contagious diseases. The three-day conference will open on February 24 at the Gulf Hotel under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
Bahrain Medical Society is coordinating the event with Takatuf Conference Management Company, in cooperation with the Health Ministry , British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC), the Saudi Society for Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Bahrain Medical College.
Apart from host country Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Britain and the United States will take part in the conference, scheduled to be held under the slogan: "Infectious Diseases and Epidemics .. Imminent Danger and Bright Prospects".
"The conference is expected to attract up to 500 participants from Arab and European countries, in addition to representatives of Bahrain hospitals and colleges of medicine", BMS Chairman Dr. Mohammed Rafea said in a press conference.
