Participants in the Dentist's Lifestyle Conference and Exhibition (DLS 2017) has recommended strengthening Bahrain’s position as a destination for health and medical investment in general, and dental investment specially.
The participants, at the closing of DLS 2017, complimented on the massive government support which health sector has, and citizens and expats’ high awareness of general health issues on the other hand.
They have also confirmed the big protentional in shifting the Kingdom to a tourism destination in regards of orthodontics and dental cosmetic, especially with the appropriate legislative structure, qualified local expertise and the specialized centers the Kingdom has. However, they pointed out at the importance of setting a clear and comprehensive plan to promote Bahrain as regional destination for the Medical Tourism, as well as strengthening its ability to attract the biggest companies, authorities, and Medical Universities.
The Head of DLS 2017 Organizing Committee Dr. Mohammed Shahda said that Bahrain has succeeded in hosting and organizing the conference for the 2nd year respectively, with an expansion of international participation.
"The conference has also succeeded in attracting 22 regional and international speakers, who presented scientific lectures targeting the dentists," he said.
Dr. Mohammed Al Aradi, Founder of BDA company commented: "Index Holding Company, which organizes the biggest Medical Exhibitions in the Region such as Arab Health, was presented for the first time in Bahrain. Moreover, the CEO Dr. Abdulsalam Al Madani has personally attended the event seeking new business opportunities".
The conference attendees included the Saudi Dental Society and its President Dr. Fahad Al Shemmari and Dental Tribune, an international dental magazine.
