Conjoined twins Mina and Mai arrived from Egypt at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh on Sunday, accompanied by their parents, to undergo evaluation for possible separation.
King Salman had ordered that the conjoined twins be admitted in King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital in Riyadh. The twins and their parents were received at the hospital by a special medical team led by General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, who is also head of the medical and surgical team in charge of separating Siamese twins, as well as by Egyptian Consul General in Riyadh Hani Salah.
Clinical tests were immediately conducted on the twins by the medical team, which said that their health condition is stable. More tests are to be conducted in the coming few days.
