Indian Ambassador to Egypt Navdeep Suri on Sunday said his country's embassy is scheduled June 21 to celebrate the First International Day of Yoga.
Egyptian football striker Emad Moteab and other Egyptian figures will take part in the ceremony, the ambassador said.
The United Nations General Assembly has declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga. On Dec. 11 of last year, India introduced a draft resolution in the United Nations General Assembly. The draft resolution received unprecedented broad support from 177 countries and was adopted unanimously.
The Government of India is planning to celebrate the International Day of Yoga in all the countries around the world, including Egypt.
