Health Minister Adel Adawi held a ceremony Thursday to honor delegation of international delegations visiting Egypt to discuss measures adopted by the government in its fight against bird flu infections.
The delegation comprised representatives of the World Health Organization, the Food and Agriculture Organization, the World Organisation for Animal Health and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In its report, the group attributed the spread of infection in Egypt for lack of awareness, bad habits and non-effective monitoring system.
The report provided handful list of recommendations topped by expanding investments in poultry vaccination and early detection of infection.
Also, it recommended widening space for licensing poultry farms.
