Aspetar's 1st Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Nursing Conference ended today at the hospital which ran between 25th and 26th February.
The two-day conference held a number of intensive specialty workshops for the nursing team working in the field of sports medicine and orthopedics where the experts at Aspetar touched on the subjects discussed on the topic globally.
Aspetar prioritizes training national skills by depending on the available expertise in the hospital who throughout the conference provided applied and theoretical sessions in order to enhance the healthcare service provided to the patients.
They also touched on the rapid developments in the sports medicine field and Aspetar's contribution through researches in the field which plays as a major role in bettering the nurses' capabilities to deal with different cases professionally.
The conference also discussed subjects widely seen as important in the sports sector such as heart problems which athletes face during trainings to prevent sudden heart attacks by running comprehensive and early screenings for them.
Aspetar works on keeping up with the latest developments in the field where the conference coincides with the hospital's vision to become the leading hospital in sports medicine and training sciences globally by 2020.
