Hong Kong's Director of Health will lead a delegation to attend the Eleventh Tripartite Meeting of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases in Macao on Sept. 8 and 9, according to local government website on Wednesday. During the two-day meeting, experts from the three places will review the latest situation of communicable diseases, the prevention and control of scarlet fever, anti-microbial resistance, laboratory surveillance of infectious diseases and exchanges in laboratory technology. Participants of the meeting will include key medical and public health officials and professionals from Guangdong, Macao and Hong Kong. Led by the city's Director of Health Dr. P Y Lam, the Hong Kong delegation will comprise representatives from Hong Kong's Department of Health and the Hospital Authority. Counterpart delegations will be led by the Associate Director of the Department of Health of Guangdong Province, Huang Fei, and the Director of the Health Bureau of Macao, Dr. Lei Chin Ion.
