Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic and Development (KFAED) has fully prepared two hospitals in Lebanon with the necessary medical equipment. KFAED's spokesperson Nawaf Al-Daboos told KUNA, on Tuesday, that Tannourine Governmental Hospital will receive equipment for the Intestine Care Unit, while Sir Dannieh Governmental Hospital will receive dental medical equipment. Al-Daboos stressed that KFAED has been committed to supporting the Lebanese health sector since the 1990's and it will continue to backup these vital developmental projects out of the brotherly and the historic ties that connects the two countries. This project funding project comes within an all-comprehensive project to setup 13 hospitals with the necessary medical equipment in various parts of Lebanon. The cost of this project is estimated to be around USD 4.5 billion, Al-Daboos noted. KFAED has given Lebanon 17 loans since 1966 worth of USD 500 billion that were invested on health, agriculture, transportation and reconstruction sectors.
