The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, KF, is implementing the biggest humanitarian project in the Palestinian territories through funding an infertility Treatment Project to restore hope for childless couples.
The project will finance fertility treatment surgeries for more than 600 women in the Palestinian territories. The project is in implementation to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
A KF official source told that this vital humanitarian project came in response to reports which say that infertility in the Palestinian territories is the highest in the world, as a result of the dire conditions experienced by the Palestinian community.
He also said that in such cases, the UAE's leadership does not hesitate to respond to such kind of vital humanitarian issues affecting hopeless couples in this area who are in need to be supported in order to turn the parental dreams into reality.
According to the official IVF technology is used in the project, which has achieved significant results that brought joy to more than 600 Palestinian couples in Gaza and the West Bank, noting that the programme was successful, as the success rate exceeded the allowable limit which is 50 percent.
