The Health Ministry will continue to encourage medical centers to follow and implement the quality and safety recognition program to further improve healthcare in the country, said an official here Saturday.
Speaking at a ceremony to honor the infectious disease hospital's commitment to the program, Health Ministry media executive Ghalia Al-Mutairi said that the honoring was to show the ministry's diligence to provide high standards of treatment.
The ministry is concerned in applying international standards for healthcare and the program was an extension of such policy, said the official.
On his part, head of the infectious disease hospital Dr. Jamal Al-Duaij said that the hospital was fully invested in following the program to ensure that patients were given the best medical care possible.
He thanked the hospitals staff for their efforts and stressed that the infectious disease hospital will continue to carry out policies to provide better healthcare.
