Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab Saturday decided to sack head of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) following a surprise visit.
The on-the-spot dismissal came after the premier noticed poor quality of services and absence of the TBRI's board director.
During his tour of the health care facility, Mahlab expressed dissatisfaction with the poorly served facilities, asserting reports were received on violations by physicians.
Also, he made a surprise visit to the National Heart Institute.
The premier vowed strong disciplinary actions would be taken to address irregularities and violations at the health facility.
