Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has committed to being an organ donor, according to director of Ministry of Health Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Under the role model of the Prime Minister, several government officials have also promised to be organ donors, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.
The Ministry of Health expressed its gratitude for the active support from the officials, hoping that more citizens are willing to provide voluntary organ donations to those in need.
Najib’s action has brought hope to 19,000 patients in Malaysia who are in urgent need of organ donations.
