The Ministry of Health and Prevention has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Korean medical group, Bestian Co., provider of hospital management services and distributor of cosmetics and medical devices, for improving its burn injuries capacities as part of its plans to deliver high quality medical care services on par with international best practices.
The MoU was inked by Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Sector, and Dr. Kyung Sik Kim, President of the medical group Bestian, in the presence of Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention.
The minister said the conclusion of this agreement was part of the ministry's strategy to elevate medical care services as per international recognised standards, enhance international partnerships for implementing innovative projects with leading healthcare providers and build capacities of caregivers and equip them with the most advanced, innovative industry technology.
Dr. Al Serkal said the two signatories will work together to upgrade joint cooperation for developing best in class services in the area of burn injuries.
The MoU, he added, also features exchange of training and expertise and collaboration in health education.
