The gastroenterology centre of the Rashid Hospital, part of Dubai Health Authority, DHA, has received international certification for treatment of gastroenterological diseases, from KPMG UK.
KPMG UK carried out a study to help understand how to deliver good inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) care for patients and how to help improve care delivery across healthcare systems. A team of clinicians and research scientists from KPMG visited 18 reference centres throughout the world, including the IBD team at Rashid Hospital.
Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the DHA said: "The certificate reinforces the high-quality specialised care provided by the centre. The selection of this centre in the MENA region highlights international standards of care and the quality and efficiency of medical and nursing staff as well as the adoption of the latest technologies in IBD medicine."
Dr. Samir Al Awadhi, head of gastroenterology at Rashid Hospital said the hospital was selected after extensive checks by specialised teams from KPMG UK.
