Saqr bin Ghubash Saeed Ghubash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation has opened the 2nd edition of the Occupational Safety and Health Conference on the Middle East.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre (OSHAD), at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the event comes within the activities of the seventh session of the International Exhibition for National Security & Resilience (ISNR) ).
The inauguration of the event was attended by Lt. General Saif Al Shafar, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, Major- General Dr. Ahmed Al Raisi, General Inspector of the ministry, Dr. Jaber Al Jabiri, Director- General of Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre, Reem Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director- General of the Center, as well as a number of officers of the ministry and officials of Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre.
Ghubash stressed the importance of the conference, and added that the implemented laws in the country have contributed to defining the basic requirements for provision of the protection means by employers to workers to protect them from occupational injuries and illnesses that may occur during the work, as well as fire and other risks that may result from the use of machinery and other work tools.
