Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multi-lateral Relations, said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken large-scale steps in its quest to combat and control non-communicable diseases and supported all international efforts to fight these diseases and prevent their spread. He also stressed that Saudi Arabia will continue to mobilize efforts and resources in this regard at the local and international levels. Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer made the remarks while leading the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to a high-level meeting to debate fighting and controlling non-communicable diseases which was held by the new session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York yesterday. Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer reviewed a number of steps undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this field including the establishment of the General Directorate for non-communicable Diseases in 2003.
