Sharjah Health Authority, SHA, in collaboration with University Hospital Sharjah, UHS, will kick-start its second Health Awareness Campaign at Sahara Mall, Sharjah, which will run from 22nd to 23rd December between 6 and 10 p.m.. The campaign is a continuation of the Health Awareness Campaign launched at Mega Mall, which witnessed significant success with 450 plus visitors.
Designed to bring about awareness of specific health issues, including blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI and cholesterol, the campaign aims to advise the community about risk factors associated with these health issues, prevention methods as well as treatment options. While UHS professionals will carry out free-of-cost health screenings for visitors to the mall, they will also have an opportunity to receive detailed information about these health concerns through workshops.
This campaign is in line with SHA’s and UHS’s promise to spread a wellness initiative in the UAE and beyond. As such, the campaign aims to draw awareness to common health issues in the UAE and shows support for treating these concerns. Timely management helps control these conditions and improves the patient's quality of life. UHS encourages people to seek consultation to avoid any further complications in the future.
