The State and all the governmental institutions support the patient by all means, said Health Minister Ahmed Emad.
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting Wednesday with representatives of the Health Ministry, the Defense Ministry and the Administrative Control Authority, added the minister.
The meeting took up issues related to liberalizing the exchange rate and the prices of medicine, he added during a press conference held at the Cabinet.
Negotiations were held over the past week with several specialized medical companies in blood products, he said, adding that an agreement was reached with two companies to reduce the prices of such products.
A delegation from the Health Ministry will embark on a foreign tour to buy medications, which do not have alternatives on the Egyptian market, he added.
