The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) took part in the first meeting and workshop on GCC archive for Health Education, held in Riyadh recently. The workshop was organized by the Executive Office of the GCC Health Ministers Council in cooperation with the local public relations centre as a strategic partner and was attended by representatives of GCC member states as well as specialists in the field of health education and information technology at the GCC level. The Supreme Council of Health was represented by Director of Information and Communication Jassim Ibrahim Fakhro and Websites Coordinator at the Information Affairs Department Aisha Mohammed. This meeting and the accompanying workshop were held in implementation of GCC Health Ministers'' resolution which adopted the proposal of the State of Qatar for the establishment of a GCC electronic archive containing information and data base compiling all health awareness and educational materials issued by the GCC, unification of GCC efforts, development of media programmes addressing the public and the provision of educational materials that promote health to serve as a reference for all society categories in GCC countries.
