Tadweer, the Centre of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi, the Waste Sector Regulatory Authority delegated by Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre, OSHAD, to follow up implementation of requirements Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System Framework in the waste sector, has organised the 2nd Awareness Workshop on the Occupational Safety and Health System in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The workshop was held under the guidance of Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre in order to discuss the latest changes in the OSHAD framework v3 issued in July 2016, and promote awareness among the waste sector entities.
Hani Hosni, Director of the Environment, Health and Safety Department at Tadweer, said, "Conducting such workshops comes in line with Tadweer’s efforts to adopt models that comply with the highest international standards that will help protect workers, achieve sustainability and integrated waste management, and contribute to the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030."
Tadweer also distributed certificates of appreciation to the four most distinctive categories in handling the occupational health and safety management system among the environmental services providers.
These workshops help keep service providers informed about the latest programme updates from the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Centre. They also provide companies with a platform to exchange ideas, suggestions and experiences to help improve health and safety and avoid occupational illness, injuries and property damage.
