Seven nanotechnology-based products succeeded in obtaining supply and distribution certificate from Iran's Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education.These products have acquired the necessary certificates from Nanotechnology Committee of the ministry and the certificates have been issued according to the documents provided by the producing companies, and after investigations carried out by Nanotechnology Committee of this ministry. The certificates are temporary and are valid for three months. Products that have been approved by the Ministry of Hygiene, Treatment and Medical Education are as follows: local antiseptic solution and foam, antibacterial washing spray for wound and burn, antibacterial washing solution for hospital environment and floor, and hospital equipment and devices under the title antiseptic solution for hospital environment. The seven abovementioned products are the first nanotechnology based products that have acquired health certificate from the Ministry of Hygiene, Treatment and Medical Education. The certificates have been issued in line with the formation of new mechanisms in Nanotechnology Committee of this ministry. The nanotechnology-based products need to firstly acquire nano-scale certificate from Technology Services to Market Institute in order to obtain health certificates.
