Sultan has no plans to go into music
Beirut – Nicola Azar

Sultan has no plans to go into music Beirut – Nicola Azar Jordanian superstar Safaa Sultan has praised Arab women as “strong”, saying “they’re determined to reach the highest posts.” Remarking on International Women’s Day, which the world celebrated on March 8, Sultan told Arabstoday: “Arab women have become an integral part of the equation in all fields and all societies. They're strong women and they're determined to reach the highest posts. You now find Arab women and men competing tooth-and-nail. However, some people still think men are superior and women are doing their best to break that barrier and some of them are definitely better than some men." Speaking about upcoming Mother’s Day celebrations, the actress and singer, who is currently filming the Khaliji TV series, controversially blasted the region’s rising divorce rate. “Our societies are beset by a terrifying number of broken homes, and we need to do something to stop it soon, or else we will hit a dead-end entitled 'the extinction of life on earth,” she said. Sultan, herself a divorcee, has a 20-year-old daughter Amali, who she describes as “well-educated and talented.” "She's my best friend, we consult each other about everything that's going on in our lives. We have a very special bond," said Sultan.  Sultan has often been praised for her singing voice after recorded several theme songs for shows she has appeared in. Despite the popularity of these songs, she was keen to point out why she has never considered entering the music industry. "The music world is very different from the acting world and I didn't make it where I am today easily. I struggled a lot, especially as I was on my own, without a manager or a studio or a writer who adopted my talent. I have a good singing voice, but I'm not a performer. And the music world is so much bigger than acting,” she said.
