Cairo – Khaled Ali

Egyptian actress Ola Ghanem Cairo – Khaled Ali Egyptian actress Ola Ghanem has condemned criticism of the show "Al Zawga al Rabaa" (The Fourth Wife) that says it is a duplicate of the series "Haj Metwally", saying: “It’s not true at all, even if I admit that I was worried myself about the similarities when I read the script. "I said to those responsible at the time that I would withdraw right then if we were working on a second part of 'Metwally', and would only go ahead if we were doing something different." About her part in the show, she said: “I play the character of a girl from Attarin who is related to Mostafa Shaaban, her cousin. She is a brave, courageous girl, who stands beside her husband through thick and thin." On comparisons made between her role in this series and last year’s role in "Sharee Abdel Aziz" (Abdel Aziz Street), she said: “There is no room for comparison between the two characters as this year is not a local girl, but a different role, reflecting 60–70 percent of Egyptian women." Ola told Arabstoday that shooting for three television shows at the same time was very exhausting. She also said the hours of filming were tweaked for her benefit so she didn’t pile them on at the same time. About the series "Selsal el Damm", she said: “Despite the show being out of the Ramadan race, I appear as a guest star in the first part. In spite of its short length, I liked it very much as soon as I read it, especially since I play an Upper Egyptian character for the first time. This was a good opportunity to experience the role in a small part and then see if I can deal with this dialect, and thank God it was a very nice experience.” When asked how she managed the Upper Egyptian dialect, she said: “It tortured me at the beginning to the extent that the whole crew had sympathy for me, but in spite of that I enjoyed its beauty and lightness.” Ola said she was very happy with her experience in "Ibn Mout" (Son of Death): “My character was a hairdresser, who was in love with a man called Gaber al Khawaja [played by Khaled El Nabawy]. They get engaged and exchange marital vows, and are in a relationship for two years, without getting officially married. She tries to marry him but she doesn’t find any solution and this is where the events evolve.” The star said she was supposed to continue filming the movie "Christmas", especially since she has only three more outdoor shots lefts in Cairo before the film went into post-production.
