Latifa refuted rumours of a move to the UAE
Cairo - Mahmoud Al Rifai

Latifa refuted rumours of a move to the UAE Cairo - Mahmoud Al Rifai Tunisian singer, Latifa, has rubbished the rumour regarding her purchase of a residential villa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She denied that she will be moving from Egypt because of recent turmoil. Latifa told Arabstoday; "this rumour is being repeated whenever I go to the UAE, since the outbreak of the revolution on January 25. What saddens me is that there are some people who believe this rumour and think that Latifa may leave Egypt and consider staying in another country." She continued; "I have not bought villas in the UAE and I do not own a villa in Egypt. I live in a normal life, in a normal building among neighbors and friends, I am not a fan of living a fancy life style, also I do not own a home in the United Arab Emirates.” The singer added: "I travel constantly and continuously to Dubai because my sister lives there.” She also admitted that she had been traveling to the UAE more in recent months to work on an album there. “If everyone knew how much I love Egypt then we would never hear this rumour again,” said Latifa. “Egypt gave Latifa this name, without this I would not have become an artist. My love for Egypt is no less than my love for my home country Tunisia, it is impossible for me to leave and go to another place." The singer said that her life is “divided between Egypt, Tunisia and the UAE.” Discussing her new album, Latifa said: "I have almost finished recording the songs, but I'm still release it before the holy month of Ramadan, but if case conditions in the Arab world calm I may launch it in the coming weeks.” As for the album she said: "I think it will be a surprise for everyone, especially the words, as I cooperated with revered poets like Bahaa El Din Mohammed and Nader Abdallah."
