Rising Hollywood star Shailene Woodley -- the face of "Divergent" and "The Fault in Our Stars" -- topped big-screen nominations for the People's Choice awards announced Tuesday with four nods.
Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson were among those shortlisted in the favorite movie actor and actress categories.
On the music front, British soul sensation Sam Smith dominated with four nominations for the awards, which will be given out in Los Angeles on January 7.
Woodley -- whose turn in "Divergent" echoed Jennifer Lawrence's star-making role in the "Hunger Games" films -- scored nods for favorite movie duo both in "Divergent" and "The Fault in Our Stars," as well as favorite action movie actress and favorite dramatic movie actress.
For favorite movie, the nominees are "22 Jump Street," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Maleficent," and "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
Favorite film actor nominees are Pitt, Downey Jr, Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman and Mark Wahlberg, while up for favorite actress are Jolie, Johansson, Lawrence, Emma Stone and Melissa McCarthy.
On the small screen, three shows are nominated in five categories each: "Grey's Anatomy," "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries," according to People's Choice organizers.
Favorite TV show nominees are "The Big Bang Theory," "Game Of Thrones," "NCIS," "Once Upon a Time" and "The Walking Dead."
On the music side of things, Britain's Smith was nominated for favorite male artist along with Blake Shelton, Ed Sheeran, John Legend and "Happy" singer Pharrell Williams.
Favorite female artists nominees were Beyonce, Iggy Azalea, Katy Perry, Sia and Taylor Swift.
Nominations are based on some 70 million votes cast by fans.
