Los Angeles – UPI

The Grand Budapest Hotel has surpassed the $100 million mark and is officially Wes Anderson's most successful film to date. The movie has grossed $103.8 million worldwide since its debut in theaters on March 28, and its four-theater opening weekend March 7-9 was the highest-grossing limited live-action debut in history. Comparatively, Anderson's second-biggest film, The Royal Tenenbaums, has grossed $71 million since its January 2002 premiere. The movie stars Ralph Fiennes as Monsieur Gustave H., a respected concierge who teams up with lobby boy Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori) after the young man is framed for murder. Frequent Anderson collaborators Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Owen Wilson also appear in the film as Monsieurs Ivan, Jean and Chuck, respectively. The Grand Budapest Hotel currently holds a 92% fresh rating on website Rotten Tomatoes. The film has been met with critical and audience acclaim, and is still showing in select theaters around the country.
